FapChatGirl is a one-on-one cam chat site with a cheeky name and a simple idea: you, one girl, two cameras and a Next button. Here is where the name comes from, what we built, and what we chose to leave out.

Where does the name come from?
It is three words pushed together, and each one is doing a job. Fap is the cheeky one: internet slang everybody recognises and nobody says at a dinner party. Chat is the actual activity. Girl is who is on the other side of the camera.
Put them together and you get a name that tells you, a little bluntly, what kind of evening this is.
We kept the wink on purpose, since the name is the first thing people type and the one they remember. The site itself is about the chat, though: a real girl, a real conversation, a bit of flirting, and a Next button when it is not working.
The short name, the long name and the spellings in between
People shorten us to FapChat, and some write the name in two parts as FapChat Girl. Others type it in lower case, add spaces, or lose a letter on a phone keyboard late at night. All of those land in the same place: one site, one match screen, one team behind it.
On our own pages we write it as FapChatGirl, one word, capital F, C and G. That is the version on the logo and in the address bar. If you see it written another way somewhere, it is almost certainly someone who liked the place and was in a hurry.
So what does FapChatGirl actually do?
FapChatGirl is a cam chat site where you get matched one on one with a girl, at random or by picking from the online list, on video, voice or text. It runs in the browser, you can start as a guest without registering, and it is free to start.
Coins only come in once your free matches are used. Its users come from more than 50 countries, and roughly a fifth of them live in the US.
What we built
The feature list is short on purpose. Each item exists because it makes a one-to-one chat with a stranger easier, not because a feature checklist said so.
- Random matching with three modes on one screen: Video, Audio and Text. Two-camera chats get their own cam to cam page.
- An online list for the evenings you would rather choose than spin. See who is online now.
- Follows, messages and calls from a profile, so a good random match can turn into a regular one.
- Automatic translation of typed messages, because half the fun is meeting someone from the other side of the world.
- A short video feed with a Live tab for watching streams that are on right now.
- Free matches and a Reward Center, then coins and an optional VIP membership. The full order is on how it works.
What does the name not promise?
Names make promises, so it is worth saying which ones this name does not make. FapChatGirl says chat, and it says girl, and both are true. It does not say date, stage, crowd or download, and the site sticks to that. Here is what those missing words mean in practice.
- Not a date. It says chat. Nothing here is set up for meeting offline, and nobody should push for it.
- Not a stage. The girl on the other side is talking with you, not putting something on for you to watch. Ask her things.
- Not a crowd. Every chat is two people. There are no group rooms and nobody watching from the side.
- Not a form. You can see whether you like the place before telling it anything.
- Not a download. It runs in the browser; the home-screen icon is optional.
Who is it for?
People who want to see the person they are talking to. Maybe you like flirting a little, maybe you are bored on a Thursday, maybe you just want a laugh with someone in a different time zone before bed. Any of those works.
Plenty of regulars are simply curious about other places. A girl in Lagos describing her commute, someone in Caracas explaining a local dish, a student in Buenos Aires mid-exam season: that is a good evening too, camera on or not.
It is not a place to arrange meeting up offline, and it is not a place for anyone who cannot take a Next without getting nasty about it. The house rules are short and live on the safety page; the legal version is in the terms.
Why does it run in a browser?
Because the fastest way to a conversation is the one with no install step. You open a page, tap Start and you are talking to someone. If you want it to feel like an app, add it to your home screen and it opens full screen with its own icon.
It also means updates reach you without an app store in the middle, and nothing lingers on your phone you did not choose to keep. If you would rather see it than read about it, the Start button is on the FapChatGirl home page.

Why do some people call it by a shorter name?
Because the full name is a mouthful at two in the morning. The short version, the two-word version and the full one all point to the same site.
How do I tell the team something?

Is there an app to download?
No download is needed. It runs in your browser, and you can add it to your home screen if you want an icon.
