Random Text Chat, One Girl at a Time

Half past midnight, flatmate asleep on the other side of a thin wall. FapChatGirl’s Text mode is the random match for moments like that: one girl, one keyboard each, and nothing anyone else in the room can hear.

What is the random text chat feature?

It is the typed version of a random match. Pick Text at the bottom of the match screen, tap Start, and you are paired with one girl to type to. No camera, no microphone, nothing anyone in the room can overhear. Next ends it and finds someone else, exactly like the other modes.

Text sits beside Video and Audio on the same screen, so you never have to go anywhere special for it. The girls are the same girls, and a typed chat can turn into a follow, a message thread or a call on camera later on.

How do you start a text match?

Three taps, and the browser does not even need to ask about your camera. The Text button sits beside Video and Audio along the bottom of the match screen; pick it before you start, and the girl you are paired with gets a typing window instead of a camera.

  1. Find a Start button

Any of them leads to the match screen; no form comes first.

  2. Choose Text

The modes sit along the bottom of the screen. Video is selected at first; switch to Text.

  3. Type hello

A girl is matched with you and the chat opens. Say something she can answer in one line.

If she types slowly, give her a moment. She might be on a phone with one thumb, or reading your message in a language she is still learning.

Why type instead of talk?

Some places are not built for talking. A shared flat at midnight, an office during a dull meeting, a long bus ride with nothing to look at. Text lets you chat in all of them without anyone noticing, which is half the reason the mode exists.

Typing also gives you time. You can think before you answer, delete the joke that was not quite right, and write the thing you would have stumbled over out loud. For shy people that is a real advantage; a lot of conversations that would have died on camera keep going happily in writing.

Small things land better in writing too: a well-timed emoji, a deadpan reply three seconds after a silly one, the joke you only think of halfway through her message.

Languages get easier as well. Typed messages can be translated automatically when your languages differ, which makes a text chat with girls on the other side of the world far easier than trying to follow a fast accent on a call.

Openers that work in writing

A typed “hi” is even flatter than a spoken one, because there is no smile attached. Give her something to grab.

ok honest question: is it morning or night where you are? I’m terrible at time zones

night! almost 11 here

same, and I should be asleep. what’s keeping you up?

Ask open questions, mirror her style a little (short messages to short messages, emoji to emoji), and do not send five lines in a row before she has answered the first. If you want to be funny, keep it light and check it landed before you build on it.

When she replies with a question, answer it properly before you ask yours. A chat where both sides ask and answer has a rhythm you can feel within a few messages; one where you interview her runs out of steam fast.

What if you want to see her?

Ask, nicely, and do it through her profile rather than through the random queue again. Follow her while you are typing, and later you can open her profile and start a call on camera when you are both up for it.

If she would rather keep typing, that is an answer too, and the chat can carry on in messages. Most people find this order easier than meeting cold on video: by the time the camera comes on, you already know her name, her city and at least one thing you both find funny. The cam to cam guide covers the camera side when you get there.

When a typed chat goes quiet

Gaps are normal. She might be making tea, replying to a friend or working out what your last line meant. Wait a minute before deciding she has gone. If nothing comes back after a while, a light “still there?” is fine; a string of question marks is not. And if the chat has clearly run its course, tap Next without guilt.

Text works best alongside a couple of other tools.

Typed messages can come through in your language. How the chat translator behaves, and its limits.

Voice next

Halfway between typing and video: random voice chat keeps the camera off.

Skipping

Next ends a typed chat just as quickly. When to use it is on the Next button page.

Short videos

Clips from girls on the site, handy for finding someone to follow between chats.

Pick Text and say hello

Open the match screen from the home page, tap Text, and type something more interesting than “hi”. Three or four chats in, you will have a feel for whether typing suits you, and you will probably have someone worth following.

Everything else the site does, from streams to VIP, is laid out together on the features map.

Typing questions

How do I start a random text chat?

Open the match screen, choose Text at the bottom and tap Start. No camera or microphone is needed.

Can a girl see or hear me in a text chat?

No. Text matches are typing only. She sees what you write and nothing else.

Are typed messages translated?

They can be translated automatically when the two of you use different languages.

Can I keep talking to her after the match?

Follow her before the chat ends. You can then message her or call her from her profile.

How do I go from typing to a call?

Pick Video at the bottom of the match screen before your next match, or follow her and start a call from her profile.

Is a text match one on one?

Yes. Every match is you and one girl.

The next hello could be a good one
